Main material: Gray cast iron or ductile iron. Strict technical control: The flat surface of the cylinder block must be at least 0.05 mm by 50 mm long. For cast iron cylinder blocks, the total length must not exceed 0.30 mm for six-cylinder engines and 0.20 mm for four-cylinder engines. For aluminum alloy cylinder blocks, the total length must not exceed 0.50 mm, and for four-cylinder engines, the total length must not exceed 0.30 mm. The cooling hook target test is used to further increase reliability. Cast ribs inside the cylinder block ensure strength, and strategically arranged cooling and lubrication water channels ensure cooling and lubrication.
